Nutraponics is an Alberta-based company focused on the development and commercialization of intensive, small-footprint, high-density, natural food crop production technology. Arrow’s team was employed by the Strathcona County location of Nutraponics once they realized that their HVAC systems were not best suited for their specialization in vertical farming. In order to properly re-design the system, Arrow conducted a thorough investigation of the existing building use, which is unique as it required controlling an atypical environment. The Arrow team approached the project knowing that the facility did not need to be geared toward human comfort. Instead, it needed to facilitate the growth of plants, requiring stringent controls of humidity and temperature to optimize growing conditions.
Arrow’s Electrical group worked with the Mechanical team to implement this service upgrade. Once the new system was designed, the Electrical team carefully conducted service connections for the newly designed equipment.
