Arrow No. 21 on Alberta Venture’s Fast Growth 50

By Leanne Wierenga on January 5, 2016

We’re thrilled to announce that Arrow Engineering has been featured as a part of Alberta Venture’s Fast Growth 50 list, alongside some of the fastest-growing companies in Alberta. Arrow’s 21st place standing is the result of many things, including an explosive rate of growth since inception ten years ago, our dedicated team members, and our loyal clients.

“It’s an honor for us to be included among those on the Fast Growth 50 List. It means a lot to us to rank alongside some of the finest companies in Alberta” says Greg Burghardt, Arrow’s President & CEO “this win comes down to the contributions of our exceptional team members and loyal clients.”

Over the past ten years, Arrow has grown from a small team of eight, dedicated to the delivery of Mechanical Engineering Services, to a thriving team of over 70 professionals dedicated to the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Civil Engineering Consulting Services; each of these original eight are still employed with Arrow today. We are proud to maintain an extremely low employee turnover rate and exceptional employee culture, and believe that our culture permeates our interactions with our clients. The strength of our relationships is best characterized in our rate of repeat clients, who generate almost 99% of our revenue.

Happy Holidays 2015

By Leanne Wierenga on December 4, 2015

Just like that, it’s December already.  As is our tradition at this time of year, we take the time to reflect on the past year, and spend quality time with our family and friends. It is in this season, especially, that we are aware of how privileged we are. As is part of our culture at Arrow, we truly believe that it is our responsibility to share our good fortune with our communities and with those in need.

Over the past year, we’ve had the opportunity to give back in a variety of ways to numerous charitable organizations and causes which are near to the hearts of our team members, families, and friends. These contributions have taken the form of donations in-kind, monetary donations, the gift of time and other initiatives. Notably, this year, we are proud to have contributed to Habitat for Humanity, Santa’s Anonymous, Youth Emergency and Support Services, the Edmonton Opera, Pilgrims Hospice, Kids with Cancer and more.

At Arrow, we recognize that our success is dependent on the contributions of our valued team members, colleagues and clients. We’re truly humbled by the loyalty of those who support our team, and by the contributions of our dedicated team members.

We offer you our most sincere thanks, and wish you and your loved ones peace, joy and prosperity this holiday season, and in the year to come. Merry Christmas!

-The Arrow Team

Arrow Joins 2015 PSMJ Circle of Excellence

By Leanne Wierenga on October 20, 2015

We are happy to share the news that we have again been included amongst those on PSMJ’s “Circle of Excellence” list, released this summer. This circle includes diverse, prominent firms throughout North America who Kate Allen, Director of PSMJ’s AEC Industry Surveys states “…prove that success isn’t necessarily defined by the size of a firm, their practice area, geographic location, or even the markets they serve, but instead  by a strong commitment to solid business practices”.

“We’re excited at another year of inclusion on PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence list. These are the firms we use to benchmark our performance against, so to be included among their ranks really evidences the fact that we’re doing something right, and that people are noticing” says Greg Burghardt, CEO of Arrow Engineering.

As always, we recognize that our success would not be possible without the contributions of our loyal staff, and our valued relationships with clients and industry colleagues. We’d like to take this opportunity to express our most sincere thanks to all of the individuals who have helped us to achieve this significant milestone.

About the Circle of Excellence

PMSJ’s exclusive Circle of Excellence is designed to recognize firms that are successfully managed, based on 13 key performance metrics that demonstrate outstanding achievements relative to profitability, overhead, cash flow, productivity, business development, staff growth, and turnover. The Circle of Excellence represents the top tier of participants in PMSJ’s annual A/E Financial Performance Benchmark Survey.
