Happy Holidays 2014
By Leanne Wierenga on December 2, 2014
It feels like just yesterday that we celebrated the holiday season, yet suddenly, here we are again. As we reflect on the past year, and enjoy time spent with friends and family, we are keenly aware of how very fortunate we are. At Arrow, we believe we are all a part of something bigger than ourselves; it is in this spirit that we continuously strive to give back to our communities, and to those in need.
Over the past year, we’ve been privileged to give back in a variety of ways to numerous charitable organizations, and causes which are near to the hearts of our team members, families, and friends. These contributions have taken the form of donations in-kind, monetary donations, the gift of time and other initiatives
In lieu of gifts, we traditionally donate to select organizations whom we feel contribute meaningfully to our communities, and to individuals in need. This year, we’re proud to announce that we’ve committed substantial in-kind donations to Wellspring Edmonton, and to the Edmonton Opera, along with monetary contributions to Little Warriors, Habitat for Humanity, ALS Canada, and upwards of 40 additional organizations and causes.
The Christmas spirit is alive and well within our offices. In keeping with one of our favorite holiday traditions, our Edmonton team recently gathered to participate in a gift exchange and donation to Santa’s Anonymous, giving the joy of Christmas to families and children in need. Our Calgary office has elected to contribute to two local charities, the Boys and Girls Club of Calgary, benefiting at-risk youth, and Inn From the Cold, a local family shelter. Our team in Saskatoon has chosen to donate funds to the Saskatoon Food Bank, in order to feed those in need, throughout the year.
The leadership team at Arrow recognizes that our success is dependent on the contributions of our valued team members, colleagues and clients. We’re truly humbled by the loyalty of those who support our team, and by the contributions of our dedicated team members.
We offer you our most sincere thanks, and wish you and your loved ones peace, joy and prosperity this holiday season, and in the year to come. Merry Christmas!
Prybysh Joins ‘Top 40 Under 40’
By Leanne Wierenga on October 31, 2014
We’re delighted to announce that our Chief Engineer, Robert Prybysh, has been named one of Avenue Magazine’s ‘Top 40 Under 40’. This prestigious group is selected from the ‘best and brightest in the city … high achievers, [including] business people, entrepreneurs, artists, designers, athletes, community organizers, politicians, teachers, inventors and more. [These individuals] give back to the community and elevate the city through their work, whether it be in their career or volunteer work. They inspire … through everything they do.’
It comes as no surprise us that Robert has been selected as part of the Top 40 Under 40 set. As one of our founding partners, Robert plays an integral role at Arrow, providing direction and overseeing quality control, while sharing his knowledge with Junior team members. Additionally, Robert embodies one of the key cornerstones of Arrow culture, which is, to ‘give back to the communities in which we live, work, and play’, through time spent volunteering for the Glenora Rotary Club, and his significant contributions towards the creation of a program and research lab focused on the study of HVAC, in collaboration with the U of A.
Robert Prybysh holds over 12 years of experience in engineering, controls, and environmentally related fields, and is a founding Principal and Chief Engineer for Arrow Engineering Inc., and Past President of the Northern Alberta Chapter of ASHRAE).
